1. What is Looktara?

Looktara is an AI-powered visual engine built for:

  • Founders & creators who post on LinkedIn, X, IG, YouTube
  • Coaches, consultants, recruiters & agencies whose face is their brand
  • Content & ghostwriting agencies managing visuals for multiple clients
  • Professionals & job seekers who need sharp profile photos, resumes, and portfolios

Core Idea

Train a private AI model of you using ~15 photos, then generate unlimited new photos of yourself in different outfits, locations, and vibes, plus use a full toolkit of editing & visual tools – all in one place.

2. Key Concepts in Looktara

2.1 Private Model

Your private photography model is an AI model trained on your face & body from around 15 photos. It powers everything: prompt-to-photo, photo packs, references, etc.

2.2 Credits

Certain operations (like AI Editor, Upscale, Relight, Monkey, bulk generation) use credits. Think of credits as "compute tokens" – heavy operations consume more, simple ones less.

2.3 Workspaces

If you handle multiple brands, clients, or team members, you can separate them using workspaces, each with its own models, credits, and galleries.

2.4 Gallery

Your Gallery is where all your generated images live. You can sort, favorite, organize into folders, and reuse images later for posts, slides, thumbnails, etc.

2.5 Tools Overview

Core AI Photographer

Model training, prompt-to-photo, packs, reference, Monkey

Credit-based Power Tools

AI editor, relight, expander, upscale

Free Utility Tools

Crop, background removal, text-behind-image, time machine video, etc.

3. Getting Started

3.1 Create Your Account

  • Visit looktara.com
  • Sign up using your email (and password) or available social login options.
  • Verify your email if requested.

Tip: Use the same email you'll use for RocketHub / purchases so support can easily locate your account.

3.2 Prepare Your Training Photos

To get a realistic model, input quality matters a lot. You need around 15 photos.

Do ✅

  • • Use clear, well-lit photos
  • • Include multiple angles (slight left, right, straight)
  • • Include different outfits & backgrounds
  • • Use your real look – no heavy filters / AI edits
  • • Mix of selfies, close-ups, and 2-3 full-body photos

Avoid ❌

  • • Over-processed photos
  • • Photos where your face is tiny / blurred
  • • Group photos where your face is not clear
  • • Covering face with sunglasses, masks, etc. in all photos

3.3 Train Your Private Model

  1. Go to "Create Model" / "Train Model" section.
  2. Upload your ~15 selected photos.
  3. Confirm and start training.

What happens next:

Photos are encoded and used to train your personal model. Raw photos are deleted after training and are not visible to any human. Model is usually ready in a few minutes (up to ~10 minutes in peak times).

3.4 Generate Your First Photo

Select your private model and go to Prompt to Photo / AI Photographer.

"LinkedIn profile picture, office background, soft smile, formal shirt"

Choose Type: Professional and Aspect ratio: 1:1 or 4:5, then hit Generate.

If it looks slightly off in the first attempt, try adjusting prompt details (age, style, clothing) or running another generation – models improve as they see more contexts.

4. Core AI Photographer Features

4.1 Prompt to Photo

This is the heart of Looktara. Choose your model, type a description, select mode/ratio, and generate.

Examples of great prompts

  • "Professional LinkedIn headshot, blue blazer, plain soft grey background, eye contact, confident but friendly smile."
  • "Me working at a modern coworking desk, MacBook open, blurred city window behind, smart casual outfit."
  • "Dating app style photo, outdoors, soft sunset light, casual t-shirt, natural smile, shallow depth of field."

4.2 Enhance Prompt

Toggle "Enhance Prompt" to automatically expand simple text like "my linkedin dp" into rich, detailed, optimized prompts. It adds camera, lighting, and composition details for better results.

4.3 Modes & Ratios

Modes

  • • Professional
  • • Semi-professional
  • • Social media post
  • • Dating / casual
  • • Travel / lifestyle

Ratios

  • 1:1 → Best for profile pictures
  • 4:5 / 2:3 → Best for portrait posts
  • 16:9 → Best for thumbnails and wide banners

4.4 Photo Packs (100+ Packs)

Stuck on ideas? Browse packs like Professional office shoots, Founders & startup vibes, Travel, or Dating. Select a pack and generate random images or specific poses in that style. Perfect for creating full galleries quickly.

4.5 Photo Library

Search ideas visually – like Pinterest. Find an image you like (pose, composition, vibe), select it, and tell Looktara: "me". We take the pose, scene, lighting, and composition and replace the subject with you.

4.6 Reference to Photo

Upload any reference image (stock photo, movie still, etc.) to mimic its pose and style. Looktara creates a new coherent photo with your face and proportions in the same context.

5. AI Monkey – Your "Do Anything" Image Engine

AI Monkey is like having a Photoshop wizard on demand. Upload an image and type what you want it to become.

Example Commands

  • "Turn this into a retro movie poster."
  • "Make it a cyberpunk neon style artwork."
  • "Add a famous celebrity next to me."
  • "Convert this into a flat illustration style."
  • "Make it look like a magazine cover."

Best Workflow

Step 1Use AI Photographer to generate a clean base shot.
Step 2Feed into Monkey for creative transformations (Thumbnails, Posters, Memes).

6. Credit-Based Power Tools

6.1 AI Editor

Change outfit colors, remove/add background variations, or make subtle adjustments. The goal is invisible edits.

"Change my shirt to navy blue", "Make background plain white"

6.2 Relight

Use when a photo looks flat or dull. Relight adds contrast, simulates studio lighting, and improves the final "pop" of the image.

6.3 Image Expander

Extend the canvas left/right/top/bottom. AI fills in plausible background while maintaining composition. Perfect for YouTube banners and website hero images.

6.4 Upscale

Increase resolution without destroying details. Use for print-ready assets, presentations, or large screens.

7. Free Utility Tools (Unlimited Use)

Image Crop

Crop to specific ratios or custom size

Background Remover

For decks, CVs, banners

Resizer

For LinkedIn, IG, X, YouTube

Compressor

Reduce file size, keep quality

Format Converter

PNG / JPG / WEBP

Blur & Adjustments

Privacy or stylistic effects

8. Text Behind Image Tool

Place text behind a subject (you) inside an image. Add multiple lines with control over position, font, color, size, and opacity. Great for LinkedIn carousels, quotes, and visual hooks.

9. Match Cut / Time Machine Video

Create viral "my face from childhood to now" glow-up videos. Upload images from different ages, arrange them, and Looktara auto-syncs timing and transitions. Perfect for milestone posts and nostalgia content.

10. X & LinkedIn "Post Content → Photo"

Built for daily content creators & ghostwriters.

  1. Write your LinkedIn or X post (pure text).
  2. Paste that content into Looktara.
  3. Select "Social media post" in prompt bar.
  4. Generate image based on your content.

Result: Each post gets a relevant visual without you thinking "what image do I pair with this?".

12. Watermark: "Shot on Looktara"

When downloading, you may see an option to add a "shot on looktara" watermark. This is 100% optional. It's for people who want to be open about using AI, but can be turned off if you prefer clean, unbranded photos.

13. YouTube Thumbnail Generator

Enter your video title, Looktara suggests concepts, upload your photo, and get multiple thumbnail options. Use to A/B test ideas and maintain a consistent channel look.

14. General Image Generator

For slides, blogs, decks, or social posts where you don't need your own face. Type prompts like "Woman leading a team meeting" or "Man jumping from mountain". Looktara returns realistic DSLR-style shots, replacing stock websites.

15. Virtual Try-On (V1)

Upload a full-body photo of yourself and a clothing item image. Click generate to see a realistic composite of you in that outfit. Great for fashion content and ecommerce mockups.

16. Security & Privacy

Training Photos

Used only to train your private model. Encoded and deleted after training. Not shared or used for global models.

Your Model

Private to your account/workspace. Not used to train others. Can be deleted on request.

Generated Images

Only you can access them. Not used for training. Permanently removed if deleted from trash.

17. Credits & Workspace Management

Heavy operations (Bulk generation, Upscale, Relight, AI Monkey intensive changes) consume more credits. We recommend using Prompt-to-photo + packs for everyday usage, and power tools for high-value content.

If you notice unusual usage, check recent bulk jobs or team usage.

18. Best Practices & Tips

For Best Model Output

Use 15+ clear, natural photos. Avoid heavy filters. Include multiple angles & 2-3 full-body images. Retrain if you change your look drastically.

For LinkedIn / Social Creators

Bulk generate 20-30 photos weekly. Use Post content → Photo for each post. Use Text Behind Image for hooks. Use Match Cut for monthly transformation videos.

19. Common Issues & Troubleshooting

"My face looks slightly off / not like me"

Training photos might be too few/low-res, or prompt is too extreme. Fix: Retrain with 15-20 clear photos and use neutral prompts initially.

"Skin looks too smooth / a bit fake"

Turn OFF "beauty filter" prompts. Avoid "perfect skin". Add "natural skin texture", "realistic details".

"Hands / background look weird"

General AI limitation. Generate variations, use AI Editor/Monkey to fix, or crop tighter.
